Children's Book Review: For God So Loved the World My John 3:16 Book

Beginning with creation from the sky, to fish, to tigers, and moms and dads Elena Selivanova provides gorgeous illustrations showing the details of creation. Throughout the book God’s plan is shown as each page contains three rhyming lines and ends with “For God so loved the world.” Throughout the book on the right margin “For God so loved” is written in different languages.

Our need for a Savior is clearly explained in a way children can easily understand and God’s plan to send Jesus to die for us because of His love for us shines through. The truth of the gospel is presented as well as the free gift we receive when we believe in Jesus. The author goes on to describe how the children can pray anytime and how God will always love them. Closing with the promise of being with Jesus for eternity, this book provides the reader with a clear view of the gospel from creation to the guarantee Believers have of spending eternity with God.

The explanation of God’s plan and love for His creation combined with the rhyming and beautiful illustrations will captivate the attention of children from early preschool through first grade.
